The Vishnu Mandir Hindu Temple hosted their 23rd annual Diwali ‘Festival of Lights’ on Saturday, October 26. The
event included a street co-naming ceremony for father, priest and spiritual leader Pandit Vishnu Sukul, who is now the
fi rst Guyanese Hindu Priest to have a New York City street co-named after him. The street co-naming ceremony, which
took place at 1216 Noble Avenue, celeberated Sukul’s life and recognized his dedications to New Yorkers as well as the
immigrant community.
