THE BRIDGE COMMEMORATES 65TH ANNIVERSARY
Leaders of the real estate, business, banking, and non-profi t sectors came together at NYC’s
Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Tuesday, June 4 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of The Bridge,
one of New York City’s leading nonprofi t organizations working to provide behavioral health
services and supportive housing to people with mental illness.

MONTEFIORE MUSCULOSKELETAL CENTER OPENS
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to unveil the new Montefi ore Musculoskeletal Center
on Tuesday, June 11 at the Montefi ore Hutchinson Campus. The center provides patients
with individualized care, as appropriate, for their musculoskeletal health needs, bringing
together the highest quality care under one roof.

UFT SCREENS ‘BACKPACK FULL OF CASH’
The United Federation of Teachers will host a special screening, in English and Spanish, of
the acclaimed documentary, ‘Backpack Full of Cash’ on Tuesday, June 11 at the UFT Bronx
Learning Center. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Matt Damon, the documentary
serves as a powerful tool to inform parents, teachers and community members about the
reality of market-based education ‘reform,’ and its impact on American public schools and
the 50 million students who rely on them.
