 out Morris Park’s best 
 Morris  Park  was  back  to  
 its usual celebratory buzz  
 on Sunday, Oct. 10, as the  
 community came out to  
 once again enjoy the annual  
 Columbus Day Parade. Fending  
 off some gray skies and  
 increasing rain, the revelry and  
 pageantry was on full display as  
 participants  celebrated  Italian  
 American  culture.  Elected  
 offi cials, community leaders and  
 area residents lined the streets  
 to watch the parade fl oats  pass

 Explorers program marched  
 in the parade, along with the  
 dance group Fancy Feet and  
 St. Catherine Academy’s cheer

 mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa,  
 state Assemblyman Michael  
 Benedetto and NYC Councilman  
 Mark  Gjonaj  were  some  of  the  
 dignitaries  to participate in the  
 event.
