SUV RALLIES AGAINST SHOOTING HOMICIDES
Stand Up to Violence held a Community Shooting Response Rally on Wednesday, August
14 at 2959 White Plains Road. The rally was held in response to the shooting homicides of
a 17-year-old and 21-year-old on Sunday, August 11 at White Plains Road between Adee and
Arnow avenues.

CHURCH’S HEALTH FAIR
Victory Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s Community Health & Family Day was held on Sunday,
August 11 at 1271 Burke Avenue. The event featured a plant-based food demonstration
and testing focusing on diabetes, free health screenings, information on disease prevention
and reversal, anti-stress massage and exercise sessions, VA Medical Bus, games and rides.
