4-CAR COLLISION IN THROGGS NECK
Police responded to a four-car collision involving a police vehicle in Throggs Neck.
According to police, on Monday, August 19 at 11:06 a.m., a 45th Precinct police offi cer
was responding to a 911 call of an emotionally disturbed suicide person. The patrol
car was approaching the intersection of East Tremont Avenue proceeding through a
red light slowly with its lights and sirens traveling westbound when a 2014 Honda operated
by a 72-year-old woman traveling northbound on Philip Avenue collided with
the patrol car. The patrol car lost control colliding with a parked 2004 Nissan operated
by a 26-year-old woman and a parked 2018 Honda operated by a 71-year-old
man and had a 6-year-old female passenger. The police offi cer, 72-year-old woman
and 26-year-old woman were taken to Bronx Municipal Hospital Center with minor
injuries. The 71-year-old man and his 6-year-old passenger were unharmed in the

FATAL BAINBRIDGE AVENUE SHOOTING
Police need your help solving a fatal shooting that happened in Fordham. According
to police, Isael Lagares, 27, was shot multiple times in his torso on Friday, August 16
at 10:25 p.m. near 2734 Bainbridge Avenue. EMS transported Lagares to St. Barnabas
Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made in
this ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers

Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 2:26 p.m. - It
was reported to the police that two individuals
entered a grocery store, located at 1139 Olmstead
Avenue, where one of the males remained
at the door while the other male approached
the counter and brandished a firearm while demanding
money. The cashier complied and the
individuals fled the location with approximately
$200 and Backwoods cigars.
Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., -
two individuals approached a 37-year-old male
victim, in the vicinity of 2040 McGraw Avenue.
The individuals grabbed the victim by the
arm and forcibly removed his watch, wallet, and
cellphone. The individuals then fled westbound
on McGraw Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The individuals are described as follows:
Individual #1: is described as a male, approximately
5’8”, 140 lbs., 18-20 years old. He
was last seen wearing a black shirt and black
pants.
Individual #2: is described as a male, approximately
140 lbs., 18-20 years old; he was
last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt
and black pants.
44th Precinct
Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. - It
was reported that a 21-year old male victim met
with the two males to purchase an iPhone, in
the vicinity of Ogden Avenue and West 168th
Street.
The victim declined to purchase the cell
phone at which time one of the males displayed
a knife and demanded that he withdraw cash
from a nearby ATM.
The male depicted in the video accompanied
the victim to the ATM where the victim withdrew
approximately $400. There were no reported
injuries sustained as a result of this incident.
46th Precinct
Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 7:45 a.m. -
In front of 2160 Anthony Avenue, a 72-year-old
male victim was walking in the vicinity of the location
when an unidentified male came upon the
victim and snatched his cell phone. The male
fled in southbound on Anthony Avenue.
Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 8:15 p.m. - In
front of 1800 Popham Ave, a 24-year-old male
became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified
male about a parking space.
The dispute escalated at which time the
male left and returned with a firearm, shooting
the victim two times in the lower back. The male
fled in unknown direction.
The victim was removed to Columbia-Presbyterian
Hospital in stable condition.
Pursuant to the investigation, the unidentified
male was in the company of an unidentified
female at the time of the incident, whose photo
and video surveillance has been captured.
48th Precinct
Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. - It
was reported to police that a 16-year-old male
victim met a female acquaintance on social media
and scheduled to meet in person at 903 E.
179th Street. Upon arrival at the 4th floor of the
location, an unidentified male displaying a knife
approached the victim and demanded his cell
phone. The victim complied and the male fled in
unknown direction with the cell phone.
There were no injuries sustained as a result
of this incident.
Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 5:20 a.m. -
It was reported to police that inside 519 E. 180th
Street (Dary’s Restaurant), an unidentified male
entered through a secured rear door.
Once inside, he removed approximately
$12,000 from a locked safe and fled in an unknown
direction.
