POLICE PUT BRAKES ON RECKLESS DRIVER
Police have arrested a reckless driver who damaged a munimeter in Morris Park.
According to police, 49th Precinct police offi cers responded to a vehicle accident
on Saturday, June 8 at 4:18 p.m. in front of 768 Morris Park Avenue. Upon arrival,
police discovered a single vehicle accident involving a 2016 black Dodge Charger.
Ammar Yahya, a 19-year-old Brooklyn resident, was allegedly operating the vehicle
recklessly when he lost control and drove onto the sidewalk and struck a munimeter
at the location. Yahya was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the
fi rst degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the

2 INJURED IN TRUCK OVERTURN ON BRUCKNER
A truck driver and passenger are in the hospital recovering following a multi-car
collision. According to police, 43rd Precinct police offi cers responded to a multi-car
collision on the Bruckner Expressway on Sunday, June 2 at 8 a.m. Two individuals
were riding inside the cabin of the overturned truck when the incident occurred.
Both individuals sustained non-life threating injuries and taken to a local hospital for
treatment. No arrests were made in this ongoing investigation.

40th Precinct
Friday, April 19 at 12:15 p.m. -- The NYPD responded
to a call of an assault in the vicinity of East
149th Street and Cauldwell Avenue. Upon arrival, officers
observed a semi-conscious 24-year-old male
in close vicinity to the entrance of St. Mary’s Park
with two stab wounds and one laceration to his torso.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Lincoln
Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
There are no arrests as of press time and the investigation
is ongoing
44th Precinct
Sunday, June 2 at 9:58 p.m. -- The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male
depicted in a surveillance photo (see photo) wanted
for questioning in connection to a criminal mischief incident.
Details are as follows: Cops received a report
that in front of 1565 Townsend Ave, an unidentified
male intentionally slashed the rear driver’s side tire of
a marked NYPD radio motor patrol car. The male fled
the location in unknown direction (see photo).
45th Precinct
Sunday, May 19 at 2:30 a.m. -- The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two
people seen in video surveillance footage in connection
with an assault. Police received a report concerning
an assault that occurred in front of Jimmy Ryan’s
located at 3005 Middletown Road. A 36-year-old
man, the victim, was standing at the location when
an unknown individual engaged the victim in a verbal
dispute.
The unknown individual slashed the victim on the
top the head causing him a laceration before fleeing
the scene with a second individual, who was a woman,
in a late model grey Nissan Pathfinder. One of the
individuals wanted for questioning in connection with
the incident was a male Hispanic, between 25-yearsold
and 30-years-old, with a medium build. He was
5’6” feet tall with a beard. He was last seen wearing
gray sweatpants, grey and white sneakers and a
black hooded sweatshirt with a white Puma logo on
the front. The second individual is a female Hispanic
who is 25-years-old to 30-years-old with a medium
build and long brown curly hair. Her hair had blond accents.
She was last seen wearing black pants, a black
shirt, a black jacket and white sneakers.
49th Precinct
Monday, June 3 at 8:45 p.m. -- The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individuals
(see photos) wanted for questioning in connection
to a reckless endangerment incident. In the vicinity
of Barnes and Morris Park avenues, an unidentifi ed
female fi red four shots into two unoccupied vehicles
parked on Barnes Avenue. here were three individuals
who fl ed the scene on foot eastbound toward Morris
Park Avenue. There were no reported injuries. The
people wanted for questioning are described as follows:
One is a male black who is between 25-yearsold
and 35-years-old. He was last seen wearing a dark
color sweater and blue jeans. Another is the person
who had possession of the gun. He is a male Hispanic
with tattoos who is between 25-years-old and
35-years-old. He was last seen wearing no shirt and
blue jeans. A third person is a female who is a male
black who was last seen wearing all black.
52nd Precinct
Tuesday, May 21 at 7:30 a.m. --The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the
individuals depicted in video and photographs in
connection to a robbery. Details are as follows: A
17-year-old man victim was walking out of his apartment
inside of a residential building located near Oliver
Place and Webster Avenue when three individuals
approached him. The individuals had handguns
and pushed the victim back into the apartment. The
individuals tied the victim up and placed him inside
of a bedroom before they ransacked the apartment.
The individuals fled the scene empty-handed. They
were last seen walking northbound on Oliver Place.
The people wanted for questioning are described as
follows: The first is a Hispanic man, 20-years-old to
25-years-old and about 5’9” to 5’10” tall. He was last
seen wearing a black and gray hooded sweater, dark
colored pants and gray sneakers. The second individual
is a male Hispanic who is 20-year-old to 25-yearsold,
and between 5’9” to 5’10” tall. He was last seen
wearing a black and gray hooded sweater, black and
gray pants and black sneakers. The third individual is
a male Hispanic who is between 20-years-old and
25-years-old and also 5’9” to 5’10” tall. He was last
seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants
and black sneakers.
