Astoria resident John Frattasi has
been working on a photography
project called “Velocity,” an
“exploration of change” in New
York City. It will include photos
from across the city, though
many were taken in Frattasi’s
home borough of Queens. The project
will heavily feature Long Island City, as
well as some of Astoria.
“In particular, I started to notice
some of the changes and the contrast
that was happening really
across the architecture and the urban
landscape of the city,” the Ditmars
Boulevard resident told BORO
in a phone interview. “As all of these
new buildings were going up and all
