lovers a ride on the Summer Movie Express
as they sell $1 movie tickets to children’s
movies from July to August.
UA Kaufman Astoria Stadium 14, located
at 35-30 38th St., will screen 18 movies
for $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with
a portion of proceeds going to the Will Rogers
Institute. The organization funds medical research
of cardiopulmonary diseases and purchases neonatal
ventilator equipment for medical facilities
across the country.
The Summer Movie Express Initiative began
on July 4 and will end on Aug. 29 and Aug. 30
with screenings of “Storks” and “The Lego Batman
Movie.”
All movies will start at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, July 18, and Wednesday, July 19: “Monster Trucks” and “Penguins
of Madagascar”
Tuesday, July 25, and Wednesday, July 26: “Rio 2” and “The Boxtrolls”
Tuesday, Aug. 1, and Wednesday, Aug. 2: “The Secret Life of Pets” and
“Sing”
Tuesday, Aug. 8, and Wednesday, Aug. 9: “Kubo and the Two Strings” and
“Ratchet and Clank”
Tuesday, Aug. 15, and Wednesday, Aug. 16: “The SpongeBob Movie:
Sponge Out of Water” and “The Adventures of Tintin”
Tuesday, Aug. 22, and Wednesday, Aug. 23: “Happy Feet Two” and “Cats &
Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”
Tuesday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 30: “Storks” and “The Lego
Batman Movie”
