“Jojo Rabbit,” “Stranger Things"
and more. Every now and then,
they host a “Retro Review” and
discuss older movies, too, like
"District 9," which came out over
a decade ago.

The Real Queens of Queens
Some of the most intriguing podcasts are simply
just friends talking about everyday life and
telling personal stories. Luckily, we have hosts
like Cathy and Fran, who run The Real Queens of
Queens podcast, to amuse and distract us.
In the first episode this past July, Cathy described
herself as a middle-aged woman who is
self-employed with one twenty-something kid.
Fran introduced herself as a 53-year-old single
mom who works as a NYC bus driver. Both women
reside in Queens, which is obvious from their
delightful accents.
Episode topics include pet peeves, periods and
PMS, aging, New Year’s resolutions, admirable
women and the ‘80s. The duo has produced 28
episodes and counting. If there is anything you
take away from Cathy and Fran it will definitely be
laughter and wisdom.
