Western Queens doesn't slow down with
chilly weather; Astorians are always keeping
busy with workouts, classes, brunch
and more. And they do it in style — usually
with an eye-catching scarf! Whether
they donned stripes, plaid, color blocks or fringe, locals
were warming up in style. Add in some accessories like retro
earmuffs, statement earrings or boots with a funky toe, and
you’ve got a great late-winter look.

was on her way to
a class at Orange
Theory when I
spotted her. She
described her style
as “intellectual
menswear and
rock ’n' roll.” I love
how she paired her
leggings with high
socks and wellies
along with her grey
peacoat and colorblocked
chunky scarf.
