Kickoff in
QUEENS
BY AYSE KELCE
The Super Bowl is returning on Feb. 13, and after
last year’s restrictions on large gatherings due to
the pandemic, fans are excited to get together to
watch the game. We rounded up 10 great places
to watch the Super Bowl in western Queens:
1. Katch Astoria
31-19 NEWTOWN AVE., ASTORIA
718-777-2230
@KATCHASTORIA
With both a large indoor area with
62 TVs and a heated outdoor area,
Katch Astoria is a great choice for big
groups. The gastropub accepts large
parties of up to 15 people for the Super
Bowl night, and there is no cover
charge. There are no specials announced
for the game night yet; however,
Katch has a tradition of giving
away shot glasses with its logos when
customers order shots during the Super
Bowl. Reservations can be made
through calling or direct messaging
the gastropub on Instagram, and if
you want to watch the game here, you
better hurry because the reservations
usually fill up by mid-January.

Rivercrest will be offering indoor seating for the Super
Bowl with 11 TVs and a large projector screen, so the
guests can enjoy the game from any area in the restaurant.
There is no cover charge, and while reservations are not
required, they are strongly encouraged as Rivercrest foresees
the bar filling up very quickly. There will be bucket
specials all day and night: $20 Miller Lite, $20 Tecate, $30
Two Robbers Hard Seltzer and $30 Collective Arts Sparkling
Hard Tea buckets. Rivercrest will also be offering
Super Bowl food packages that can be ordered through

from the comfort of their homes but still want a taste of the
iconic Super Bowl food.
