If you are looking for an incredible film festival
based on Long Island, look no further than the
Port Jefferson Documentary Series. Sponsored
by the Greater Port Jefferson-Northern
Brookhaven Arts Council, the Port Jefferson
Documentary Series is a bi-annual festival that
highlights and presents notable and acclaimed
documentary films made in the United States
and around the world, many of which have won
awards on the festival circuit. The goal at the
Port Jefferson Documentary Series is to make
documentaries available in the community, for
the community. During each screening event,
viewers can not only enjoy the documentary
being presented but afterwards participate in a
Q&A led by industry professionals for audience
members to experience. Plus, each film they
screen is always engaging and worth the watch.

Since 1995, Pal-O-Mine Equestrian has
been committed to fostering a therapeutic
environment to help Long Islanders with
disabilities and those in other vulnerable
populations to gain confidence with its
horseback riding programs. Through the
center’s comprehensive programming, those
who join Pal-O-Mine will learn the ins and outs
of horseback riding at the center’s huge facility,
which includes a large indoor arena with a stateof
the-art footing and rider hoisting system and
three outdoor riding arenas, plus classrooms,
an accessible playground, a greenhouse, and a
wellness center. The highly trained team at Pal-
O-Mine is there to help the riders and make sure
they have a safe and fun riding experience.
