The Salute to the Troops
is an annual issue. It is one
time a year when we highlight
the Veterans and active service
members of the military in
our community. Some of these
men and women have found
new lives working for the the
Port Authority and other companies
at the airport. We thank
them for their service then and
now as many are essential
workers who have helped get
us through the pandemic and
continue to have the airports
operate and provide valuable
medical and health propducts
through the extensive cargo
systems. Please share this issue
with your friends who have
served so that they know they
are remembered.
Covid Vaccines The Delta
Covid variant is spreading. Half
of the U.S. population are not
vaccinated. Vaccines can be
found around Queens. Take
the shot before one of your
family goes down with this illness
or beforfe we close down
our businesses again.
However, Covid Testing
Centers continue to operate.
It is now as important to test
as more airlines increase their
routes and need to comply with
international demands of negative
covid testing before arriving
at their countries.
Digital Passports/Wallets
Digital wallets containing Covid testing, vaccines and
other health information available to the CBP and CDC
here in the U.S and more and more countries are in pilot
programs. Some passports even have real-time information
on travel restrictions and requirements around
the world. Travel Pass, Excelsior Pass, iVaxed, Clear,
are some of the digital health wallets.
Excelsior Pass/Digital Health

Most International flights require a Negative PCR covid
test 72 hours before flying.

US Quarantines lifted with Proof
of Negative Covid Tests
All international travelers must comply with all CDC
requirements, which currently include proof of negative
test or recent COVID recovery in order to board airplanes
headed to the US. • Currently CDC does not require
quarantine, work furlough, or testing requirements
for asymptomatic international travelers.
Mask Fines $50 fines are still in force at all Port Authority
transportation facilities for those not wearing
masks.
FAA Statement on Wearing Masks in Airports and
On Planes The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), the Transportation Security Administration
(TSA), and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
remind the traveling public that at this time if you travel,
you are still required to wear a mask on planes, buses,
