both ends the Veterans Choice
Program and establishes a new

The clinic primarily represents
homeless, at-risk and sheltered
U.S. armed forces veterans in
matters such as landlord-tenant,
housing and employment discrimination,
debt and collection, bankruptcy,
credit repair, traffic tickets,
warrants, driver license restoration,
child support modifications,
expunging criminal records, discharge
review and upgrade proceedings,
and minor criminal matters
heard in specialized veterans
treatment courts.

EDUCATION
CUNY-The City University of
New York has been recognized
as military friendly beginning
2009–2014 because it proactively
develops, integrates, and
oversees holistic programs, services,
activities, and support resources
for the community of
student veterans, reservists, active
duty service members, their
spouses and dependents across
24 college campuses. CUNY orchestrates
initiatives to recruit,

enroll and retain our veteran,
military and family members as
students by implementing best
practices, complying with federal,
state and institutional policies
concerning benefits.
National Military Family Association
offers Military Spouse
Scholarships. NMFA awards an
average of $500 for career funding
and $1,000 for degrees. Up
to $2500 is available for clinical
supervision towards licensure
in the mental health profession.
Spouses are also eligible
for funding, typically $1,000, to
build their own businesses. This
includes entrepreneurs, LLCs,
direct sales, franchises, contractors,
and other for-profit ventures.
