Galarzar and Pete Meyer along with the TWU Veterans’s Committee for Local 501 worked
with the Long Beach Waterfront Warriors and Allegria Hotel to bring some R&R to veterans
and families for a week of activities included a %k Race, fishing trip on donated charters,
parade, BBQ women’s salon visits, dinner at local restaurants and and a special trip to the
Ground Zero in Manhattan hosted by FDNY Rescue 1 and a trip to the Top of the Rock.
