certified Orthotist.

commitment to support Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University’s O’Maley College
of Business Project Liftoff Program.
Sheltair is a the family-owned
Fixed Base Operation (FBO) and real
estate development company having
FBOs at LGA, JFK and MacArthur
Airports. This company has been noticeable
for supporting the future of
young aviation professionals, and has
pledged a multi-year formal financial
commitment to the aviation program
through May 2025.
Designed to enhance the success
of bringing top-quality underrepresented
members into the aviation industry,
Liftoff funds each student’s undergraduate
education by removing
financial pressures so students can
entirely focus on their academic and
personal/professional growth.

from increased mentorship, tutoring
and advising relationships, and
early access to campus for a smooth
transition to the university. All Project
Liftoff students major or minor
in business to ensure they have the
acumen for success in future leadership
roles.

Outreach Working Group, and conducts
research focused on aviation
workforce development, recruitment
and retention of women in aviation.

AWARD:HARRY PRIDE–Harry Pride
is a veteran pilot, RCAF, who continues
to fly (with another pilot on board),
is the author of several historic aviation
books. With 35 aircraft types in his logbook,
Harry is a supporter and mentor
for bringing more women
into aviation.

ALVARES-MARSHALL – Ivana established
a STEM program ‘Girls Wings
for Africa’, partnering with Airbus Foundation
to promote aviation to youth is
Malawi, and working with Safety in Africa
Aviation Conferences. Ivana is the
founder of the African Section, Ninety-
Nines, International Organization of
Women Pilots.
Marlene Alexandra. ABM bids fond farewell to their cherished co-worker having
been part of the LGA and JFK parking operations rising to the rank of Employee
