Delta sustainability
A year ago, Delta Air Lines made
history by committing to become the
world’s first carbon-neutral airline. It
was an ambitious pledge to drive innovation
in clean air travel while accelerating
reductions in carbon emissions.
Within a matter of weeks, the
pandemic reached crisis levels.
Ever since, I’m often asked whether
we’ve set our #sustainability commitment
aside to concentrate our
energy on the COVID-19 crisis. My
answer is always a resounding no –
we remain laser-focused on our sustainability
goals, which are as important
as ever to our future.
In the short term, we’re reducing
our carbon dioxide emissions
through operational and fleet efficiencies
and investing in verified,
meaningful carbon offsets to mitigate
our impact.
Our long-term goals are far
more ambitious. Our investments
will accelerate sustainable aviation
fuel and carbon capture and storage
technology development.
This is the greatest challenge
of our lifetime. Will you join us?

JFK million $$ goods theft
Queens DA Melinda Katz,

and Prada merchandise from John
JFK Airport last year. Asencio

of stolen property selling-off
nearly half of the millions of dollars’

used their insider knowledge to
gain access to a cargo importer
twice in 2020. A co-defendant went
to the receiving office for the importer
and used forged documents
to gain access to various shipments
of designer goods. The defendant
