The John Theissen Children’s Foundation was
established in 1992 after its founder met a young
girl while at the hospital getting brain surgery
four years prior. The organization’s founder
held his fi rst toy drive 28 years ago, to benefi t
the children in local hospitals. During that fi rst
toy drive, the foundation collected over 800
new toys in just two weeks and distributed them
to three area hospitals. Since its inception, the
