It was a close contest between the two teams throughout the game, as Maspeth High School took a slim three-point lead into halftime, 35-32. After the third stanza, Townsend Harris tied the game at 45. But, in the fourth quarter, the Argonauts pulled away, outscoring Townsend Harris 16-10, to seal the victory. Senior Justin Miller dominated the floor, dropping 27 points in the contest, while junior Jonathan Mea added 10 of his own. Since that game, the Argonauts went on to beat the East-West School of International Studies, 77-34, to remain unbeaten on the season with a 7-0 record. Maspeth will be back in action after the New Year, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, when they host Cambria Heights Academy.
