Where to ring in the New Year in Astoria and Long Island City

It’s almost time to ring in the new year,
and Queens residents who don’t want to
leave the borough have plenty of options
if they want to celebrate the beginning of
2018 in style.
We’ve compiled a list of New Year’s Eve
parties happening in Long Island City
and Astoria that off er drink and food specials
and a great view.
Long Island City
Th e Ravel Hotel at 808 Queens Plaza
South is hosting a rooft op party starting
at 8 p.m. Th e $30 tickets include an open
bar from 8 to 9 p.m., sweet and savory
food stations until 2 a.m., party favors
and a live ball drop viewing. Table service
is also available and guests are required
to wear formal attire. To purchase tickets,

Th e Cellar Bar @ Z NYC Hotel will
host its second annual “I’m Too Old For
a Club New Year’s Eve Celebration” at
11-01 43rd Ave. For $95, patrons will be
treated to a buff et dinner and open bar
from 9 to 11 p.m. Dueling Pianos will
perform from midnight to 2 a.m. and
there will also be a complimentary champagne
toast, favors and confetti poppers.
Th e Baroness at 41-26 Crescent St. will
host a New Year’s Eve party where guests
will learn the art of champagne sabering.
Th ose who make reservations will have
access to the restaurant’s extensive burger
and craft beer selection. To make reservations,

Astoria
Studio Square, located at 35-33 36th
St. in Astoria, will host a New Year’s Eve
Party at its Bulb Room starting at 9 p.m.
Th e venue is off ering free beer, wine and
sangria from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. DJ Casper
and DJ Cisco will provide music, and
tickets are $50.
Th e Bonnie is off ering a three-hour
open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight. Th e
party at 29-12 23rd Ave. begins at 8:30
p.m. and customers will also receive hors
d’oeuvres, cocktails and a champagne
toast at midnight. Music will be provided
by the Tight Fade Crew. Tickets cost $85.
Katch Astoria is giving every customer
who purchases tickets to their New Year’s
Eve party a full buff et dinner. Located at
31-19 Newtown Ave., the bar and grill is
off ering an open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight
with a choice of prime rib, salmon
with a cucumber dill sauce, Romanocrusted
chicken breast, gluten-free vegetable
lasagna or penne Alfredo. Sides will
include fi ngerling potatoes and steamed
vegetables.
For dessert, partygoers can feast on
tiramisu, apple pie and holiday cookies.
Th ere will be a special guest DJ, party
favors and a live broadcast of the ball
drop. Tickets cost $85.
