The NYP/Queens PPS is part of the New York State-funded healthcare transformation initiative known as DSRIP (Delivery System Reform Incentive Program). The DSRIP program goal is to establish an integrated, high-performing health care delivery system that can effectively and efficiently meet the health care needs of our community. Featured guest speakers are Cynthia Pan, M.D., Chief, Division of Geriatrics & Palliative Care Medicine at NYP/Queens and Stephen Williams, M.P.A., DSRIP Manager, Quality Management at Brightpoint Health. Dr. Pan will discuss the successes of the NYP/Queens Palliative Care Project and Mr. Williams will provide an overview of Brightpoint Health and their success through MAX (Medicaid Accelerated Exchange) in integrating behavioral health services into primary care for the homeless. An overview of the Value-Based Payment (VBP) program – a program intended to provide comparative performance information to physicians as part of Medicaid’s efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical care – as well as an assessment of the current NYP/Queens Network will also be discussed.
