10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Echo Music Jam
Band
Th e Echo Music Jam Band is a collaboration
between musicians in the Echo music
scene and talented local singers who together,
showcase the best of Pop, Rock, Alternative
and Metal Music. Th eir audiences are always
captivated on their feet, never knowing who
or what they can expect to hear.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Opening
Ceremonies featuring Yee’s Hung Ga
International Kung Fu Association
Th e dragon dancing team welcomes all.
Together with invited dignitaries, Yee’s Hung
Ga International Kung Fu Association will
offi cially kick off the 29th Annual Hong
Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York.
12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – New York Chinese
Cultural Center with Dance China NY
Dance China NY, the resident touring
dance company at the New York Chinse
Cultural Center, was founded in 1973 in
NYC. Its dancers include internally-renowned
artists from mainland China,
Taiwan and the U.S. Performing a vast range
of Chinese dance and Beijing opera styles,
Dance China NY transports audiences to
a world of colorful myths, historical drama
and timeless beauty, displaying a vibrant
vision of China’s ancient indigenous folk

Rosendale (Brian Wang) is a singer and
songwriter with a soulful voice. His mammoth
EDM beats have propelled him from
an up and coming artist to an international
pop musician with over 90,000 YouTube
subscribers. He will perform some of his
original songs.
2:30 to 3:30 p.m. – School of Rock
Th e School of Rock House Band is an
audition-only band and consists of some of
their most talented students. Th ey specialize
in playing an eclectic mix of classic rock and

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – NY Shaolin Temple
Kung Fu Association
Th is Shaolin Kung Fu team will entertain
the audience with its kung fu demonstration
fi lled with punches and kicks.

Ensemble of New York
Founded in 1961, the Chinese Music
Ensemble of New York is one of the oldest
and largest Chinese orchestras in the
United States playing Cantonese traditional
music. Th ey play practically every type of
Chinese musical instruments. Th eir performance
features various traditional Chinese
instruments and a wide variety of compositions,
from ancient Chinese to modern classical.

y Plata
Mariachi Aguila y Plata brings you the
most traditional and cultural Mariachi music
of the tri state area. Th eir songs and passion

12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – Gong Music
Gong Music is a professional Chinese
music service platform based in New York
City. It provides a dynamic stage for Chinese
music performance and education, to promote
Chinese traditional music and develop
modern elements in folk music to serve a
diverse audience.
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. – Bruce Katz Band
Bruce Katz is a legendary keyboardist
(Hammond B3 and piano) who has released
10 CD’s as
a leader and has appeared on over 70 other
CD’s. His newest CD, “Get Your Groove!”
features many new original tunes, both vocal
and instrumental. It continues the evolution
of the band’s music from the improvisational
“jam blues” and roots music he has explored
as a member of the various Allman Brothers
“family bands.”
2:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Flamenco Latino
Since its inception over 34 years ago,
Flamenco Latino’s professional company has
explored and developed the genre known
as Ida y Vuelta. Th is “round trip” genre had
its birth during the late 18th century, when
Spain and other countries in Europe were
infl uenced by Latino dance music. Flamenco
Latino’s interpretation of Ida y Vuelta has
created many unusual amalgamations referencing
mambo, cha-cha, danzon, bomba y
plena, cumbia and merengue.
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – NY Shaolin Temple
Kung Fu Association
Th is Shaolin Kung Fu team will entertain
the audience with its kung fu demonstration
fi lled with punches and kicks.
11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday –
Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk
Jonathan has long enchanted children with
fi nger fables, story theater, myths, medieval
legends and lore of the Hudson River. A
full-time storyteller since 1989, he’s appeared
at thousands of schools, libraries, festivals,
and historic sites, many in Queens. He will
tell Dragon Tales for children and families,
and story theater, featuring how dragon boat
racing started.
