Each precinct will host public gatherings featuring activities, such as free games and rides for children, free food and refreshments, music, award ceremonies, health information, crime prevention tips, and the opportunity for residents to meet with the officers who patrol their streets. Observed across the U.S. and Canada, National Night Out Against Crime aims to promote safe communities and a strong bond between local law enforcement and the people it serves.
