(June 24, 2016) - The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza continue the Summer Promenade Series on Thursday, July 21. Taking place on Bond Street from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., residents from Great Neck and surrounding communities are invited to attend and experience a variety of Great Neck’s fine dining options in an outdoor café environment while listening to the harmonious sounds of Gathering Time, one of the region’s best-loved musical groups. Each participating restaurant including Bee-Organic, Era Asian Cuisine, La Rotonda Ristorante, Elaine’s Asian Bistro and the Great Neck Diner will be offering prix fixe menus or discounted dishes. Back by popular demand, Akbar the Caricaturist will be offering promenade guests free caricatures on a first-come, first-serve basis. Gathering Time, who entertained the Bond Street promenade crowd on July 7, will be back performing their unique covers of folk-rock music ranging from Crosby Stills and Nash to the Eagles. Band members include Hillary Foxsong, Stuart Markus and Gerry McKeveny. The headturning folk-rock harmony trio’s album, Keepsake, reached #1 along with six songs in the top 25 on the folk DJ charts in March 2016.
