Th e sun is heating up and it’s starting
to feel like summer. One of the best ways
to beat the heat is to head to your nearest
ice cream or Italian ice shop to cool down.
Luckily, Queens has tons of places
where you can cool off with a sweet treat.
Here are a few places in the borough
where you can fi nd a great-tasting ice
cream cone or ice.
The Lemon Ice King of Corona
— 52-02 108th St., Corona
For over 60 years, the Lemon Ice King
of Corona has been a staple in frozen
Queens treats. With fresh fruit fl avors
squeezed right into their ices, they have
set the standard for Italian ices in the borough,
making it a go-to spot to get a nice,
cold treat throughout the summer.
Eddie’s Sweet Shop — 105-29
Metropolitan Ave., Forest Hills
Eddie’s Sweet Shop has been satisfying
customers with its homemade ice cream
since they opened their doors in 1925.
Th ey off er an old-school ice cream parlor
atmosphere to go with their 20 homemade
ice cream fl avors, which is sure to
make you feel like you’ve stepped back in
time to the summers of the past.

Jahn’s once had locations throughout
New York City. Now, solely operating
out of Jackson Heights, Jahn’s produces
25 fl avors right in their store. Famous for
