 Driver critically injures woman  
 in Bayside hit-and-run 
 Police are looking for a driver who fl ed  
 the scene aft er critically injuring a woman  
 during  a  hit-and-run  in  the  Oakland  
 Gardens section of Bayside. 
 According to police, at 10:51 p.m. on  
 June 11, offi  cers from the 111th Precinct  
 responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian  
 struck at the intersection of 64th  
 Avenue  and  223rd  Place.  Upon  their  
 arrival, police found a 47-year-old woman  
 lying in the roadway with trauma to her  
 head. 
 A preliminary investigation found that  
 an unidentifi ed driver of a white Dodge  
 Durango  was  driving  northbound  on  
 223rd Place just before the incident. As  
 they were turning onto 64th Avenue, the  
 driver  struck  the  victim,  who  reports  
 identify as Nabeela Aziz, who was crossing  
 the street at the intersection.

 Th  e driver sped off  following the collision. 
  EMS responded to the scene and  
 transported the victim to North Shore  
 University Hospital in critical condition.  
 Police say that she suff ered serious head  
 trauma and bleeding to the skull. 
 No arrests have been made at this time.

 Young mom punches  
 commuter on Forest Hills train 
 Detectives  are  looking  for  a  young  
 mother who, while carrying her baby,  
 punched a woman in the face over a runin  
 on board a train in Forest Hills earlier  
 this year. 
 Th  e NYPD released on June 10 video  
 footage of the mom responsible for the  
 April 15 assault at the 71-Continental  
 Avenues subway station. 
 At 9 a.m. on the day of the attack, police  
 said, the 53-year-old victim was boarding  
 a Manhattan-bound E train when she  
 accidentally came into contact with the  
 mother, who was exiting the train. 
 Seconds later, law enforcement sources  
 said, the mother ran back into the car and  
 punched the victim in the face, then exited  
 from the train on foot. 
 Th  e victim suff ered a bruise to her left   
 eye, but remained on board the train.  
 Cops said she later called 911 and sought  
 treatment for her injuries at NewYork- 
 Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. 
 Th  e incident was reported to the 112th  
 Precinct and the NYPD Transit Bureau. 
 Police described the assailant as a white  
 woman with a light complexion believed  
 to be 30 years of age, who was last seen  
 wearing a white baseball cap, a pink shirt  
 and dark pants while pushing a stroller  
 and carrying an infant. 
 114th Precinct 
 Astoria, Long Island City,  
 Woodside, Jackson Heights 
 Suspects in cabbie robberies  
 spotted in Astoria 
 Police released photos taken in Astoria  
 of  three  men  who  robbed  33  diff erent  
 rideshare  drivers  over  the  course  of  two  
 months. 
 According  to  police,  between  April  3  
 and June 3, three unknown men requested  
 taxis  through  diff erent  rideshare  services  
 33 times throughout the city. Once  
 they  were  inside  the  cabs,  the  suspects  
 would  tell  the  taxi  drivers  that  they  
 wished  to  change  destinations  but  that  
 their phones were not working, ultimately  
 asking  to  use  the  driver’s  phone  to  
 change  the  directions  to  the  new  destination. 
 When  the  suspects  had  the  phone  
 in  hand,  authorities  said,  they  would  
 access  the  drivers’  accounts  and  transfer  
 unauthorized  funds  out  of  the  drivers’ 
  accounts to unknown accounts. One  
 more  than  one  occasion,  the  suspects  
 would  threaten  force  when  taking  the  
 driver’s phone. 
 On June 11, the NYPD disseminated  
 photos of the suspects obtained from  
 a  surveillance  camera  located  at  39th  
 Avenue and 30th Street in Astoria. 
 Cops  described  as  black men between  
 the  ages  of  16  and  25  years  old.  Th e  
 fi rst  suspect  was  last  seen  wearing  a  
 black baseball hat, a multicolored hooded  
 sweatshirt, and light blue jeans. Th  e second  
 was  last  seen  wearing  a  backwards  
 black  baseball  hat  and  a  black  hooded  
 sweatshirt. Th  e third suspect was last  
 seen wearing a black du-rag, black sweatshirt, 
  and headphones. 
 115th Precinct 
 Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst,  
 Corona 
 Mystery surrounds  
 death of homeless man  
 in Jackson Heights 
 Police are continuing to investigate the  
 stabbing death of a homeless man who  
 was murdered on a Jackson Heights street  
 earlier this month. 
 According to authorities, at 12:46 a.m.  
 on June 2, police responded to a 911 call  
 regarding a man being assaulted at the  
 corner of 31st Avenue and 91st Street. 
 Upon their arrival, offi  cers  from  the  
 115th Precinct found 40-year-old Fabian  
 Cymry with stab wounds to his torso. 
 EMS  rushed  Cymry  to  Elmhurst  
 Hospital Center, where he ultimately died  
 of his injuries on June 7. Th e  NYPD  
 announced his death on June 11. 
 At this time, no arrests have been made.  
 Police sources could not confi rm a possible  
 motive to the stabbing or provide a  
 description of a suspect.

 Long Island City, Woodside,  
 Sunnyside 
 Woodside ‘dognapper’  
 remains at large 
 Detectives  are  still  looking  for  the  
 bike-riding bandit who stole a Yorkshire  
 terrier off  the front porch of a Woodside  
 home last week. 
 According to the 108th Precinct, the  
 “dognapping” occurred at around 4:30  
 p.m. on June 5 in the area of 50th Avenue  
 and 66th Street. 
 Police sources said that the pooch —  
 named Jeter, in honor of former New  
 York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter —  
 was sitting on the porch as its 49-yearold  
 female owner was bringing groceries  
 into the home. 
 While  the  owner  was  inside,  police  
 said, the unidentified thief walked up  
 to  the  porch,  grabbed  Jeter  and  fled  
 the  scene  in  an  unknown  direction.  
 The owner walked back outside, realized  
 her  dog  was  missing  and  called  
 police. 
 On its Twitter page Friday, the 108th  
 Precinct  posted  surveillance  camera  
 images of the suspect, who could be seen  
 in one of the images riding a bike. 
 Citing  investigators,  WABC-TV  
 reported, the suspect could face grand  
 larceny charges if and when he’s caught.  
 As of June 8, police noted, there’s no word  
 on whether Jeter has returned home.
