Looking for a spring program that allows your child to have fun while
exercising? Look no further. The City Parks Foundation has a 2019
spring sports program for young people in all five boroughs. Children
ages eight to 14 have the chance to learn the basics of a variety of
sports. These include hurdles, relay races, long jump, shot put and
javelin throw. The program meets once a week and ends on June 8.
Online registration is now open for anyone who may be interested at
CityParksFoundation.org/play. For more information regarding the program

Queens County Farm will have its infamous egg hunt on Saturday. The
event will feature a meet and greet with Whiskers the Bunny, egg tossing
and egg rolling games. The farm has a variety of animal and hayrides.
This event is family friendly and suitable for all ages. Food will
be available for purchase on the 47-acre farm.

10 Come to Flushing Town Hall
for a night of dance and
live music. Flushing Town Hall will
be celebrating two cultures, featuring
bluegrass master Buddy Merriam
and Back Roads and the Afro-Cuban
rhythm of Conjunto Guantánamo.
Buddy Merriam and Back Roads have
performed in Nashville at the Grand
Ole Opry, the Bluegrass Museum and
Hall of Fame and Country Music’s
Fan Fair. The band is in its 39th year
together. Formed in 2003 in DUMBO,
Conjunto Guantánamo band members
include José Pepito Gomez,
Carlos Mena, Oscar Oñoz, Mauricio
Herrera, Ittetsu Nasuda, Conjunto
Guantánamo Saturday’s event will
start with a dance lesson at 7 p.m.
Following the lesson, both bands will

Matthew Greybil returns to
Maple Grove. He has played around
the world including the United States,
Canada, France, Holland and Mexico.
Greybil has been praised by The New
Yorker as an “exceptional young artist”
and by The Southampton Press as
“hypnotic and compelling.” The event
offers free admission and free parking.
An opening reception of an art
exhibit will follow Greybil’s performance.

Seaside Time-Lapse Film
Festival which showcases timelapse
movies from around the
world. A time-lapse film consists of
several photos placed together and
sped up to create a full movie. Timelapse
is the opposite of a slow motion
video. Timelapse can be referred to as
time-altered footage which includes
timelapse, hyperlapse, stop-motion
and any other filming effects that alter
the time of the original footage.

Dee Rao Walker, join the Bayside
Senior for one of their weekly events,
Rhythm’s Gonna Get You. The center
offers a range of activities, which
include lunches, social services, educational
workshops, exercise classes,
discussion groups, games, art classes,
lectures, workshops, health screenings,
organized outings, special events
and parties. Transportation is provided
to eligible participants. You must
be at least 60 years old to participate.

Rowling Wizarding World franchise. It
originally began with the Harry Potter
series. Directed by David Yates and
written by J.K. Rowling, the British
American production features actors
including Eddie Redmayne, Katherine
Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol,
Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner,
