fitness class where participants
will practice beginning
Vinyasa postures to warm up

to all muscles and joints.
According to ShapeUp, this
wakes up the nervous system
followed by stretching
exercises and ends with
deep relaxation techniques.
Instructors recommend
wearing comfortable clothing
for exercise. Bring a yoga
mat and a bottle of water.
Participation is based on a
first-come, first-served basis.

2 Bouquet, a show created
and performed
by Mariana Valencia, will
be held at the Chocolate
Factory Theater on
Thursday. According to
Valencia, her new performance,
“Bouquet,” examines
“authorship within the premise
of transmission, relation,
alliance and ensemble.” She
will quote dance by Alvin
Ailey, Trisha Brown, Frank
Conversano and nia love,
as well as Eurhythmics and
Garifuna dance forms. The
performance will include fake
fruits, a net and a large piece
of glass. Other large contributors

is teaming up with
Bohemian Hall & Beer
Garden for Thursday night
trivia. The questions will

compete. NYC Trivia League
is the largest in New York

prizes, ranging from a $50 gift
card to a pitcher of beer.

already offers its patrons trivia every Wednesday, brunch on Sundays and backyard

commemoration occurs
around the globe. The holiday
is widely recognized in

Garden will have
a silent dance party on
Friday dedicated to talented
female DJs. Set up by
Quiet Events, the infamous
dance parties has three live
DJs spinning top 40, Latin
and hip-hop. This experience
includes a pair of Quiet
Events headphones, glow-inthe
dark gear and three DJs.
This is a 21+ event. It will
occur rain or shine, and will
take place outside weather
permitting. The dress code
is casual.

8 “Lucifer Landing I,” a
new show by Jonathan
González at MoMA PS1
will take visitors on a journey
through an immersive
experience which includes
lighting design and a sonic
score referencing celestial
cosmogies. González’s new
commission will cover and
conceptualize ideas such as
blackness and post-anthropocentrism.
The experience
will have a VW Dome which
will function as a model for
eco-friendly and sustainable
living. González will also have
a solo choreographed performance
on the final night of
the immersive experience.
The show ends on April 21.

9 The Creek & The
Cave host the performance
arts show, New
York City Talent Show, an
event that has been called
the world’s greatest open
stage and a real NYC tradition.
Since the show started
over a decade ago by Debra
and Victor Varnado, the NYC
performance show has hosted
greats such as Kristen
Schaal, Hannibal Buress,
Jim Gaffigan and Jonathan
Aimes. The show runs every
Friday, creating a welcoming
space for performers. This
space is advertised as an
environment where anyone
can feel comfortable performing.
