Bayside parade left Irish eyes smiling
St. Patrick’s Day was offi cially celebrated
weeks ago, but there was still plenty
of Irish pride left to be shared during
the second-annual Bayside St. Patrick’s
Day Parade on March 30. Hundreds of
marchers and spectators took part in
the parade along Bell Boulevard between
36th and 42nd Avenues. FDNY Chief
of Department Ed Kilduff served as the
grand marshal of this year’s march, which
also included appearances by numerous
pipes and drum bands, local elected offi -
cials, schools and community groups.
