Colors fl y at Holi Parade in Richmond Hill
A rainy spring day couldn’t dampen
the fun at the annual Phagwah Parade
through Richmond Hill on March 31.
Th e colorful parade celebrates Holi, an
ancient Hindu festival celebrated every
spring. Th ousands of participants threw
colored powder onto each other and
into the air and reveled in music and
entertainment as the parade worked its
way through neighborhood streets. Th e
Phagwah parade was sponsored by the
Federation of Hindu Mandirs and the
Arya Spiritual Center.
