FRANCIS PREP MUSIC DEPARTMENT HOSTS ANNUAL SPRING CONCERTS On Friday, April 22nd, and Friday April 29th, nearly 600 students will participate in St. Francis Prep’s annual Spring Concerts. These two nights represent the culmination of one ST.of FRANCIS New York’s PREP best MUSIC high school DEPARTMENT music program’s HOSTS year.ANNUAL St. Francis SPRING Prep CONCERTS was the first school ever to earn the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools’ Music Credential, On Friday, April which 22nd, and is Friday aimed April at 29th,recognizing nearly 600 students only will those participate schools with the most sophisticated programs and the highest goals in music education. In all, 11 different performing groups, as well as groups from three other schools will be featured. On April 22nd, audiences will hear performances by all 3 of Prep’s orchestras, including their Chamber Orchestra, which will be joined by over 30 students from P.S. 115 who particpate in Prep’s Music Outreach program there. This is part of Prep’s initiative to involve partner schools in various arts activities, thus giving the younger students the opportunity to work side by side with highschoolers.
