Skills, Knowledge and Abilities for Beacon Director:
• Mastery of the content being taught to participants.
• Knowledge of DYCD BEACON program.
• Develop and implement student centered, interactive, learning
activities that will promote skill mastery and youth development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff to develop
age appropriate units.
• Create a positive and welcoming environment by modeling
professionalism and utilizing positive reinforcement.
• Prepare students to participate in culminating events and showcases.
• Follow rules and regulations set by the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
Previous experience as a BEACON Director/Assistant is a plus.
College diploma and a minimum of 3 years
supervisory experience.
All applicants must be able to provide a current medical
with TB test, undergo a background check,
and provide 3 letters of recommendation.
Salary - Based on qualifications and experience.
