for 10 seasons. This monthly
series encourages experimental
artists by establishing
stages. In February, Green
Space will have caitlin+dancers
and Kristen Carcone’s
“Dinner is Served.” Carcone’s
explores reality, inner dialogue,
outer dialogue, truth
and perception through the
worlds of 10 different characters.
caitlin+dancers, a NYCbased
performance company,
strives to capture human
subtlety through their movements.
According to caitlin+
dancers, they use “movement
as a conduit for imaginative
grandeur.” These
two shows were curated by
Gierre Godley.

designer and bi-coastal
artist who resides in Long
Island City, New York, and
Palm Springs. She is a board
member on LIC Artists. In
“PAIRINGS,” Gesimondo will
place artwork “side-by-side
to generate a compelling dialog,
weaving together various
themes of expression to
create a visual synergy that
enhances and augments the
messaging.” The work will
be on display from Feb. 7 to
March 3.

Modern Beauty:
Wonju Seos Contemporary
Interpretation of Korean
Pojagi is having their
ongoing exhibition at the
at Flushing Town Hall.
Wonju Seo, a Korean artist,
creates abstract textile art,
which was inspired from the
ancient art of Pojargi. The
artist will teach participants
how to make a single-layer
paper Pojagi using five
colors of Asian rice paper
and glue. These include red,
blue, yellow, white and black.
Pojargi is a historic Korean
art form of textile patchwork.
Her work is being featured
twice in The New York Times
in “Seeing Asian Cultures
Through an Indigo Lens” and
“Origami Heaven Unfolds.”
Come experience Seo’s artwork
for yourself which she
says personally redefined her
personal and cultural identities.
