City Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley and the Ridgewood-Glendale- Middle Village Lions Club sponsored the event, which included performances from the Sacred Heart Choir and the Queens Dance Academy, as well as visit with Santa Claus and watch a doggie dress-up contest. Students from P.S./I.S. 113 made the trees’ ornaments from recycled materials, and the East Coast Car Association played chauffer for Santa. Animal rescue organization Bobby and the Strays joined the event with dogs up for adoption. Fred Haller Jr. himself ended the evening by lighting the tree. PHOTOS BY MARCIN ZURAWICZ
