BIKE THIEF STRIKES
JUNIPER PARK
The 104th Precinct released on Oct. 9
an image of a male allegedly linked to
numerous recent bicycle theft s inside
of Middle Village’s Juniper Valley Park.
Detectives want to talk to Andrew
Barros, age and residence unknown,
for his role in “a series of bike removals”
inside of the park. Barros was identifi
ed through an interview on Sept. 27.
According to law enforcement
sources, Barros and between 6 and 7
other unidentifi ed individuals typically
approach a bike-riding victim, ask
a series of questions and the steal the
bike, fl eeing to parts unknown.
The 104th Precinct Detective Squad
is investigating the pattern, with Detective
James Fleming assigned to the case.

the bicycle theft s or Barros’ whereabouts

GLENDALE MAN STABS
RESIDENT IN NECK
Police apprehended a 23-year-old
man who allegedly knifed a Glendale
man in the neck inside an apartment
building early on Sunday morning,
law enforcement sources said.
Enrique Feliz, 23, who resides on
67th Place near Central Avenue allegedly
attacked the unidentifi ed male
victim from behind in an apartment
at the location at 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 8,
according to police. The motive for the
attack remains under investigation.
Without saying a word, authorities
said, Feliz allegedly stabbed the man in
the back of his neck with a kitchen knife,
causing a laceration, then fl ed the scene.
Offi cers from the 104th Precinct and
EMS units responded to a 911 call about
the incident. The injured man was taken
to Jamaica Hospital for treatment.
Police located Feliz a short time
later and took him into custody for
questioning. They later learned that
Feliz allegedly attacked his father, who
resides at the same apartment building,
on June 6 of this year. Sources
familiar with the investigation said
that Feliz got into an argument with
his father over money, then struck him
in the head, causing a minor laceration.
For both incidents, Feliz faces charges
of assault and attempted murder.

RIDGEWOOD MAN
TAKES FATAL FALL
IN BROOKLYN
Cops are investigating the death
of a Ridgewood man who was
found unresponsive outside a bar
in Brooklyn over the weekend.
According to police, officers
from the 90th Precinct responded
to a 911 call about an unconscious
male outside of an establishment in
the basement of 168 Marcy Ave. in
Williamsburg at 7 a.m. on Sunday,
Oct. 8.
When police arrived, they found
28-year-old Steven Vazquez of Gates
Avenue in Ridgewood unconscious
and unresponsive with trauma to
the head, offi cials stated. The New
York Daily News, citing police
sources, reported that Vazquez had
apparently fallen and hit his head.
EMS units rushed Vazquez to
Woodhull Medical Center, where he
was pronounced deceased, law enforcement
agents said. His body was taken
to the Medical Examiner’s office for an
autopsy to determine the cause of death.
