Sacred Heart students wash 140 cars
to raise money for class trip
The eighth grade students at Sacred Heart Catholic Academy held a car wash in the school’s parking lot. The event, which has become an annual tradition at the Academy,
was held to help raise money for the student’s eighth grade class trip which is to be held in May 2018.
Parents were on hand to supervise and serve refreshments to drivers who came by to have their cars washed. At the end of the day, the students washed
more than 140 cars.

CTK welcomes thousands of prospective students to open house
Christ the King High School
(CTK) held its annual Open
House on Sept. 30, where more
than 2,000 prospective students
came to visit the high school and
see fi rst-hand what the school has
to off er.
Teachers and current students
off ered tours of CTK’s facilities and
answered the visitor’s questions.
“Christ the King High School’s
open house provided prospective
students and their families to tour
our school and view personally the
first-class programs and facilities
our school has to offer,” said CTK
Principal Geri Martinez. “The
tremendous turnout of visitors is
a testament of the hard work and
efforts put in by the faculty and
administration to make Christ
the King a pillar of academic
excellence.”
