ANNE “MAMA Z” ZINNO died
on Friday, September 7, at the age of
91. She was the beloved mother of
Charles and Donna Zinno, Nicholas
Zinno and the late Patrick Zinno and
cherished grandmother of Mariella
and Ali. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered on Wednesday,
September 12, at St. Mary’s Church,
Woodside, followed by interment at
St. John Cemetery, Middle Village,
under the direction of Papavero

JOHN L. DIMAGGIO of Ridgewood
died on Thursday, September
6, at the age of 91. A native of
Ridgewood, he was the beloved
husband of Pasqualina and devoted
father of Mark G. DiMaggio and
Rita Corbin. He is also survived
by four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. He was a U.S.
Navy veteran. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered at St. Matthias
Church, Ridgewood, followed by
interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction
of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood
Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave.,
Ridgewood.

PETER KOSTIC of Middle Village
died on Wednesday, September 5, at
the age of 78. A native of Leskovac,
Yugoslavia, he was the beloved
husband of Radojna Perovic and
devoted father of Bojan Kostic,
Marina Kostic, Bioleta Genna and
Suzana Tasic. He is also survived by
eight grandchildren. Services were
offered at Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood, followed by interment
at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle
Village.

FRIAR PATRICK GALLAGHER
OFM CONV. died on Tuesday, September
4, at the age of 78. Ordained
a Franciscan friar on December 18,
1965, he was the beloved brother
of Kathleen M. Gallagher and a
dear cousin and friend to many. A
transitus prayer service was held
on Sunday, September 9, and a Mass
of Christian Burial was held on
Monday, September 10, at St. Adalbert’s
Church, Elmhurst, followed
by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27

Sunday, September 2, at the age of
81. She was the beloved sister of Jaime
Valverde and Gladys Valverde,
and was a loving aunt to many nieces
and nephews. A private cremation
was held on Friday, September

Village, with a Mass of Christian
Burial being offered at 10:30 a.m. on
Saturday, September 15, at St. Joan
of Arc Church, Jackson Heights,
