According to police, Maksim Ilic, the 9-month-old boy, was found unconscious and unresponsive by officers from the 104th Precinct inside of a home on 59th Street off Cooper Avenue in Glendale, on Monday, Sept. 5, at approximately 7:21 a.m. EMS units transported Ilic to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. There were no obvious signs of trauma observed, police said. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Ilic’s death. The investigation is ongoing. Bicyclist killed in Grand Central Pkwy. crash A bicyclist died on Monday, Sept. 5, after a minivan crashed into him on the Grand Central Parkway, police said. On Sept. 5 at approximately 12:50 a.m., police found a man injured on the eastbound Grand Central Parkway in the vicinity of 111th Street in Corona. An investigation found that the bicyclist, whose identity has not been released pending family notification, was traveling on the left shoulder of the parkway when he veered into the left lane of traffic. A Mazda MPV minivan struck the bicyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old male, stayed at the scene.
