Luhrin IN MEMORIAM Joseph C Giarraputo Jr. Feb. 19, 1963 – Aug. 26, 2004 11th Anniversary In Heaven BELOVED TEACHER AND FRIEND Mr. richard hartMan Christ the King Math Teacher Passed Away on August 13, 2015 Mr. Richard Hartman was a man of pure brilliance with an unlimited passion for teaching. He was always willing to help and was never too busy to say no to the next student in need of assistance. Though he was taken from us too soon, his love for teaching will never be forgotten. The thousands of students he has helped will never forget his generosity and 24/7 support. I had visited him during his time in the hospital with another one of his friends, a former student, (Alex Singh) that graduated a few years back. What I witnessed was a pure, honest friendship that was deeper than just a student to teacher connection, but that of a father and son. Our, (Alex and I), mindset was one in the same, to help Mr. H a r t m a n feel better and watch him get home healthy and happy. The nights Alex and I were at the hospital were very difficult because we watched Mr. Hartman struggle to get better, but we knew how happy he was to see us there. We watched his health improve bitby bit and gain a minute portion of his muscle strength back. This was a false hope however as he unexpectedly passed away. It was an honor to be one of his students; it was an honor to learn from him; it was an honor to meet him; and it was truly an honor to be in his presence during his final days. The sorrow for our loss is great, my additional sadness comes from the next generation of students who cannot bask in his endless wisdom and grace. The last few days that Alex and I saw Mr. Hartman we were full of questions, and he answered them all, but the last day we saw him, Mr. Hartman, had asked us a question we could not answer, unfortunately, not until now…. Yes, Mr. Hartman, all the students passed the math regents… thanks to you… You will never be forgotten because of how many hearts you have touched. Love, your student and friend, Joe Pennolino You were taken away from us. As each day passes You are greatly missed. You are always in Our thoughts and In Our prayers. You are my Sunny Sunshine, you were my whole world. I miss you and I love you. Love Mom and Your Sons, Joseph, Sal and Andrew.
