Ridgewood’s Enis Mustafa, 30, and Astrit Kupi, 22, were collared by 104th Precinct officers shortly after the stickup, which occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 10 in the area of 60th Place and Putnam Avenue, according to the Queens district attorney’s office. Reportedly, the two suspects approached the male victim and attempted to yank the gold chain he was wearing around his neck. Police said Kupi then allegedly punched the man in the face, and Mustafa pulled a black firearm out of his waistband, pointed it at the victim and demanded additional property. The victim removed the gold chain as well as a gold bracelet from his wrist and nearly $400 in cash and threw them to the ground. Kupi and Mustafa picked up the items, then ordered the victim to leave. According to the criminal complaint, responding officers soon spotted Kupi and Mustafa walking in the vicinity of 60th Street and 70th Avenue and stopped them; both men fit the description of the suspects. Officers found the stolen cash in Kupi’s pants pocket, while the gold chain and bracelet — as well as a BB gun allegedly used in the robbery — were found on the ground near where the suspects were stopped. Kupi and Mustafa were charged with second-degree armed robbery, second-degree robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. Both remain held on $25,000 bond or $15,000 cash bail, according to court records. Suspects sought in armed robbery of cabbie in South Richmond Hill Police are looking for two men wanted in connection to an armed robbery in South Richmond Hill where they allegedly pistol whipped a taxi driver. On Aug. 8 at about 2:25 a.m. the suspects — identified as two black men — approached a 50-year-old driver of a green cab at 126th Street and Liberty Avenue as he stepped out of his vehicle, cops said. One of the suspects then took out a firearm, threw the driver to the ground, pistol whipped him and fled the scene with $70 and the victim’s credit cards, according to police. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 104th Precinct Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village and Maspeth 106th Precinct South Central Queens Seven airport taxi dispatchers were busted in an undercover sting operation and charged with unlawfully receiving cash bribes in a taxidispatching scheme at LaGuardia Airport, prosecutors said. The seven defendants are all employees of Port Authority contractor Gateway Group One Frontline Services: Louis Evens, 57, of Valley Stream; Delia Gonzalez, 51, of East Elmhurst; Algimir Kabir, 60, of Kew Gardens; Claudine Roberts, 33, of the Bronx; Claude Tobias, 33, of the Bronx; Gary Luc Valerius, 55, of Valley Stream; and Michael Zalt, 66, of Woodside. According to the charges, between February and June 2015, the defendants allegedly accepted cash payments of $5 to $10 to allow undercover taxi drivers to skip the long lines in the Central Taxi Holding Area, as required by the Port Authority, and instead go straight to the terminals to pick up passengers. The alleged scheme was discovered in January 2015, when the Port Authority Office of the Inspector General (OIG) received multiple complaints that taxi dispatchers were allowing taxi drivers to respond to airport terminals without waiting in the central lot. The OIG and the Queens District Attorney’s Airport Investigations Unit launched an investigation that made use of informants and electronic surveillance. The investigation culminated in the arrest of the seven defendants Wednesday morning when they showed up for what they believed was a Port Authority training session at the Central Air Terminal at LaGuardia Airport. Each of the drivers was charged with second-degree commercial bribe receiving, official misconduct and receiving unlawful gratuities, and faces up to a year behind bars if convicted.
