More Disruptions Affect The 7 Line There will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 2 a.m. Saturday, June 28, until 5 a.m. Monday, June 30. During this period, 7 train service will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street. From 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the last stop for some Flushing-bound 7 trains will be 74th Street; trains between 74th Street and Queensboro Plaza will operate every 12 minutes. As alternate service, Q train service will be extended to Astoria- Ditmars Boulevard on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times -SEE TRANSIT ON PG. 57- Making Music At R’wood Triangle Ridgewood residents enjoyed the instrumental rock sounds of the band High North at Ridgewood Veterans Triangle last Saturday, June 21, as part of the citywide Make Music New York festival. The announced diversions are current as of Wednesday, June 25, and weather permitting. The DOT may shut down other roads should the need for emergency repairs arise. Streets and highways that are affected by closures during this week include the following: Street Resurfacing In Woodhaven, LIC Weather permitting, DOT crews will conduct street milling along the following streets: • 75th Street between 85th and 86th roads in Woodhaven for paving on Friday, June 27; • 85th Drive between 75th Street and Dexter Court in Woodhaven for paving on Thursday, June 26; • 85th Road between Dexter Court and 75th Street in Woodhaven for paving on Thursday, June 26; • 85th Road between Woodhaven Boulevard and Forest Parkway in Woodhaven for paving on Thursday, June 26; • 86th Road between Dexter Court and 76th Street in Woodhaven for paving on Thursday, June 26; • 98th Street between Atlantic Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard in Woodhaven for paving on Friday, June 27; • Dexter Court between Jamaica Avenue and 85th Road in Woodhaven for paving on Friday, June 27; • Northern Boulevard between 41st Avenue and 48th Street in Long Island City for nighttime milling on Friday, June 27; and • Park Lane South between Woodhaven Boulevard and Forest Parkway in Woodhaven for paving on Friday, June 27. One of three lanes in each direction of the Van Wyck Expressway between Jewel Avenue and Union Turnpike may be closed on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. due to construction work related to the Kew Gardens rehabilitation project. As noted, the festivities began with the celebration of Mass at nearby St. Pancras Church, followed by a tour of the elementary school.
