WNYC-AM published last Thursday, June 5, “Mean Streets,” an online tracker detailing each of the first 100 fatal incidents that took place on city streets this year. The tracker was created through analysis of data from the NYPD, other city agencies, social media and various standard media outlets. No injuries were reported after the blaze started at about 10:30 a.m. inside the laundromat on Bleekcer Street near Grandview Avenue. MALL This man is wanted by police for stealing a woman’s cell phone last Tuesday, June 3 near the Rego Center mall at 61-35 Junction Blvd. in Rego Park. Reportedly, the suspect approached the 21-year-old female victim, grabbed her cell phone, and fled on foot. Law Enforcement sources described the suspect as a black male.
