Twenty-two Queens Borough Public Library locations will be serving free Summer Meals to children and teens 18 years and under every Monday through Friday from June 27 through Aug. 29. As announced by Queens Library, the meals will be provided by the city Department of Education. There is no application, qualification or ID required. Children and teens are invited to visit their community libraries. Healthy, tasty bagged lunches will be provided as long as supplies last. Since summer reading will be in full swing, there will be plenty of free fun for all ages, as well, the library noted. For more information, visit www.queenslibrary.org. Zamora recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Zamora is the son of Maria M. and nephew of Jaquelin Alejo of Woodside and Amando and Nicolas Alejo of Elmhurst. He is a 2012 graduate of Aviation High School in Long Island City.
