Joseph Addabbo (center) recently selected former State Sen. Serphin Maltese (at left) for induction into the State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. Maltese, a Korean War veteran, served 10 terms in the State Senate, representing the 15th Senatorial District and was succeeded by Addabbo. Also pictured is Maltese’s wife, Constance DelVecchio-Maltese. Before he was a 10-term state senator and before he worked as an attorney, Serphin Maltese was a member of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. State Sen. Joseph P. Addabbo recently took the opportunity to honor Maltese and selected him to be enrolled in the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. “It’s an honor to recognize Serf in this capacity.
