M.V. MAN PUNCHED
VICTIM FOR HIS WALLET
Police are searching for a Middle
Village man who recently punched
another man in the face and stole his
iPhone in broad daylight.
The incident took place at approximately
5:40 p.m. on April 13 in front
of a residence on 67th Road, when the
suspect engaged in a verbal dispute
with the 34-year-old victim, authorities
said.
The suspect then punched the
victim in the face with a closed fi st,
picked up the victim’s iPhone and fl ed
the scene in a gold Hyundai Elantra,
police said.
According to sources familiar with
the investigation, the victim knows the
suspect and was able to identify him
as Ladislav Ruc, 36, of Middle Village.
Ruc is described as a white male, approximately
5 feet, 7 inches tall and 160
pounds with black hair. His last known
address was on 79th Place, police said.

BANK ROBBER’S
ELMHURST BID FALLS

Police are looking for a man who
attempted to rob a bank in Elmhurst
on the morning of Monday, April 23.
According to police, offi cers from
the 110th Precinct responded to a 911
call at 10:10 a.m. on April 23 at the Chase
bank located at 89-21 Queens Blvd.
Law enforcement sources said the
suspect attempted to procure money
from the bank by giving a note
to the teller, but was unsuccessful.
The suspect then fl ed the scene empty
handed before the teller could
respond to his request.
Police described the suspect as
a black man in his 40s or 50s, who
is about 6 feet tall and between
160 to 170 pounds. He was last seen
