Police are searching for a missing
Shi Tzu-Yorkie dog and the
suspects who stole it during a
domestic dispute in Maspeth.
Authorities said the incident occurred
at approximately 7:55 p.m.
on April 22 inside a residence on
56th Street near Arnold Avenue. A
21-year-old female victim told police
that a 23-year-old man entered the
home with two other women.
Law enforcement sources said the
male suspect, who is an ex-boyfriend
of the victim, used a spare key to enter
the location.
Once inside, police said, the man
pushed the female victim up against a
wall, and one of the female suspects then
pulled the victim’s hair and punched her
in the chest and head. The second female
suspect also punched the victim in the
back of the head, according to police.
Sources familiar with the investigation
said that the woman who pulled
the victim’s hair and punched her is the
man’s mother. The other female suspect
is the male suspect’s current girlfriend.
The trio took the victim’s Shi Tzu-Yorkie
with them as they fl ed in an unknown
direction, authorities said. The male
suspect had previously given the dog to
the victim as a gift , sources noted.
The 104th Precinct Detective Squad
is investigating the incident as a robbery;
no arrests have been made.
