GEORGE R. WIGGER JR. died
on Monday, April 8, at the age of
75. He was the beloved husband
of Linda Wigger, loving father of
Teresa, Karle, Lisa and Robert,
and cherished grandfather
of Thomas, Robert, Matthew,
Bridget, Christopher and Isabella.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who
served during the Vietnam War.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be offered at 9:45 a.m. on Friday,
April 12, at St. Raphael’s Church,
Long Island City, followed by
interment at Calverton National
Cemetery, Calverton, New York,
under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave.,
Maspeth.

CATHERINE “KITTY”
BUCZYNSKI died on Sunday,
April 7, at the age of 101. She
was the wife of the late Charles
Buczynski, loving mother
of Diane Gentile and Cathy
Fleming, mother-in-law of
Jerry, cherished grandmother
of Chris, Dave, Joe and Tim, and
great-grandmother of Sophia,
Gabriella and Francesca. She is
also survived by many loving
nieces and nephews. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be offered
today, Thursday, April 11, at 10
a.m. at St. Adalbert’s Church,
Elmhurst, followed by interment
at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside,
under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave.,
Maspeth.

CHRISTIAN KUTTNER of
Glendale died on Sunday, April
7, at the age of 83. He was the
husband of Elfriede Kuttner,
devoted father of Margaret
Iannello and Kenneth Kuttner,
son of the late Christian and
Katherine Kuttner, dear brother
of Kathy Schliemer and Philip
Kuhner, and beloved grandfather
of Bryan and Shaun Iannello.
He is also survived by two
nieces and a nephew. Christian
was a member of the German
Hungarian Sport Club, Danube,
and the Swabian Aid and Youth
Society. Services were offered
at graveside at Cypress Hills
Cemetery, Cypress Hills, under
the direction of George Werst
Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave.,
Glendale.

WASANTHA K. SENARATNE
died on Saturday, April 6, at the
age of 67. He was the beloved
brother of Thusitha P. Senaratne
and Malkanthi Goonewardena,
and a dear uncle and friend to
many. Services were offered on

Maspeth, followed by cremation
at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
Village.

LEONARD MARCHESE died
on Friday, April 5, at the age of
89. He was the beloved husband
of Madeline Marchese, loving
father of Dr. Robert Marchese
and Dennis Marchese, and
father-in-law of Dr. Ellen
Marchese and Denise Marchese.
He was a U.S. Army veteran
who served during the Korean
Conf lict. A private cremation
was held on Monday, April 8, at
Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
Village. Memorial services were
offered on Wednesday, April 10,
at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27
Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed
by interment of cremains at
Calverton National Cemetery,
Calverton, New York.

Wednesday, April 3, at the age
of 96. He was the husband of
the late Anna Ricci and loving
brother of Grace D’Avanzo
and the late Joseph Ricci. He is
also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews and friends. A

at St. John Cemetery, Middle

SUZANNE G. FJELLMAN
died on Wednesday, March 20,
at the age of 91. She was the wife
of the late George B. Fjellman,
loving mother of Sue and David
Allikas, Wendi and the late
George Herzman, Kathleen and
Anthony Orefice, and the late
Teresa Cohen and cherished
grandmother of Anthony
Jr., Annalisa, Katrina, Corey,
Walter, Steven, Irene, Frances
and Maxwell. She was also a
cherished great-grandmother
of seven great-grandchildren.
