BY ANTHONY GIUDICE AGIUDICE@RIDGEWOODTIMES.COM @A_GIUDICEREPORT The Metropolitan Campus Lady Knights varsity basketball team won a low-scoring aff air against Queens Vocational Tec., 35-29, on Jan. 30, to improve their record to 8-2 and are now tied for the Queens B2 West league lead. The game started out slow, as Queens Vocational Tec. jumped out to a 7-5 fi rst quarter lead. The Photos by Joseph Swift, @JSwiftSports Lady Knights rebounded quickly and scored 14 points in the second to take a 19-13 halft ime lead. Metropolitan Campus kept the pressure on, adding eight points in both the third and fourth quarters, and were able to hold off Queens Vocational Tec. for the victory. Junior Ellma Hodzic led the Lady Knights with 14 points, and senior Kaitlin Keough added 13 of her own in the win. Metropolitan Campus faces Maspeth High School on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
