STEPHEN DOUGLAS BARONE,
of Queens Village, NY, formerly of Ridgewood, Queens,
passed away after a long illness on Monday, January 14,
2019, at the age of 65. He was the son of the late Saverio and
Lorene, formerly of Ridgewood, and the brother of the late
S. Peter of Bartlett, IL. Stephen is survived by his wife, Janet
Tanke, his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Michael
Shannon, his goddaughter and niece, Stephanie Shannon,
his niece Samantha Barone, as well as cousins and many,
many of his loving and loyal friends. Stephen will be
remembered for many things, among them his constant
kindness, courage, intelligence, generosity, and of course,
his unparalleled sense of humor!
He was a graduate of St. Matthias Grammar School and
Regis High School. He was the circulation/distribution
manager of the Ridgewood Times/Times Newsweekly since
1978 until his recent retirement.
Cremation and funeral services will be private.

American Behcet’s Disease Association (ABDA) online or
