BROOKE AMANDA PEARSON
of Glendale died on Monday,
January 28, at the age of 14.
A native of Queens, she was the
loving daughter of Trish and
Mark Pearson and dear sister of
Kyle and Paige Pearson. She was
a student of St. Francis Preparatory
School, Fresh Meadows.
A celebration of her life will be
held today, Thursday, January
31, from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7
to 9 p.m. at George Werst Funeral
Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave.,
Glendale.

DAVID G. BAXTER of Glendale
died on Sunday, January
27, at the age of 67. He was the
beloved husband of Janet Baxter,
son of the late Joan and
David Baxter, dear brother of
Barbara Slabinski and the late
Joan O’Grady and Roger Baxter,
and brother-in-law of Ted and
Virginia Sefcik. He is also survived
by many loving nieces,
nephews and friends. A Mass

January 26, at the age of 52.
She was the daughter of the late
Anthony and Rosaria Mendola,
loving sister of Angela, sisterin
law of Jonathan Santangelo,
dearest cousin of the Mendola,

and D’Almaric families and
cherished godmother of Mario
Spotorno. A private cremation
was held on Monday, January 28,
at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
Village, and a Mass of Christian
Burial will be off ered at 11 a.m.
on Saturday, February 2, at St.
Adalbert’s Church, Elmhurst,
under the direction of Papavero
